Affinity Psychotherapy Associates was formed by two friends and colleagues with a passion for helping others. As we grow we hope to add more counselors and services to meet the needs of the community. We are here to support you through your therapeutic journey!

Candice Lewis
Welcome to Affinity! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania. I earned my Masters Degree in Counseling from the University of Scranton in 2011. I have 20 years of experience working in the mental health field in a variety of capacities. I enjoy working with clients of all ages and have counseled individuals from ages 5 to 75. I use an eclectic, professional, open, and non-judgmental approach to explore personal concerns and collaborate with the client to work towards therapeutic goals. I focus in areas of relationship conflict, anxiety, depression, deficits in self esteem, divorce, and communication issues. I am looking forward to working with you to reach your goals and promote well-being.
Trish Filipski
Hello! Thank you for taking the time to learn about me! Therapy is a collaborative process, and it is important to for you to feel comfortable with your therapist of choice. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Penn State University in 2009 and my graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University in 2020. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. I have 15 years of experience in the human services field including work with adjudicated juveniles, adults with intellectual disabilities and autism, and school aged children with mental health concerns prior to transitioning into my counselor role. I utilize person centered techniques to build a strong therapeutic relationship. I also incorporate CBT and DBT interventions to address areas such as mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, parent-child conflict, and self-esteem. After retiring from the University of Scranton following 26 years of dedicated service, Debbie brings her lifelong passion for helping others to our team. Known for her kind and caring demeanor, she’s often the first friendly voice you’ll hear when reaching out to our office. Debbie will guide you through the scheduling process with ease and ensure you feel welcome and supported from the very first contact.
Kelly Harvey
Hello! I am a Licensed Social Worker who is passionate about supporting children,
adolescents, adults, and families in a warm, compassionate, and collaborative way. I earned my
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Rutgers University in 2009, with a focus on human
development across the lifespan, and my Master’s degree in Social Work from the Rutgers
School of Social Work in 2011, specializing in Clinical Social Work.
I take a strengths-based, person-centered approach to therapy and incorporate evidence-based
practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy
(DBT) to help clients build practical coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and develop
confidence.
I have extensive experience working with both individuals and families, including children and
adolescents ages 5–18, and adults of all ages. My clinical experience includes supporting
individuals with Anxiety and mood Disorders, ADHD, Developmental Disabilities, including
Autism and Pervasive Developmental Disorder, PTSD, OCD, adjustment difficulties, and grief
or loss.
I am committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment where clients and
families feel heard, respected, and empowered as they work toward meaningful and lasting
